Aglaonema is a perennial ornamental plant; the leaves are green with silver-grey markings. A compost consisting of garden loam, leaf mould, broken charcoal, sand and old mortar is good for growth.
Propagation is by division of the basal shoots and also from terminal or node cuttings of the stem.
