Known for the pronounced “bulge” above and below each cane’s internode or “waist,” Wamin develops its distinctive form more reliably than the Buddha Belly Timber Bamboo described above. Canes may suffer frost damage at 27o to 30o but the roots will not be hurt. As the weather warms new thicker and taller shoots will appear.
