Additional Info

Marigold is a flower that is easy to grow. Marigold grow well in almost any kind of soil. The latter are grown mostly as hedge flowers because they are shorter and the lovely orange hue adds colour to the border in a bed.

The strange fragrance of the marigold leaves is supposed to deter pests from eating or destroying them. This is why marigold is planted near some vegetables too, so that insects do not damage the growing vegetable. The vegetables grown with marigold include tomato, brinjal or eggplant and potato.
